Put out Go Kart Fires

If your go kart is on fire and you can't do anything, think again. This guide may help to save your life.

Steps

Keep a fire extinguisher in the kart and in the event of a fire, unstrap yourself quickly and extinguish the fire.
If this doesn't help, keep extinguishing and keep the extinguisher running until smokey.
If the fire reaches the cockpit in 2 seconds, DON'T put out the fire, it will happen too quickly to put it out, so get out and just let the kart burn. Your safety is more important than the kart.
If the fire is in the cockpit, pull over and put it out, if it is too bad to reach the extinguisher and the fire enlarges, then GET OUT.
If the fire starts from the engine, and is about to consume the whole kart, do not put it out, the fire will already burn it to the shell and will keep on spreading.

If your kart is flipped over, lift the kart and get out. There is a possibility of fire.
