Ride up a Hill on an ATV
Ever wanted to ride up a hill on your ATV, quad-bike or four wheeler, but never known how to? Follow these simple steps and you'll be conquering that hill in no time!
Steps
- Ride to the hill.
- Prepare yourself for this ride by putting on your helmet and safety gear(gloves, boots, chest protector, etc).
- Start off going slow but easily increase your speed as you approach the hill.
- Lean forward to try to prevent the ATV flipping as you start to climb the hill.
- Try to put a little pressure on the rear wheels.
- If the front wheels start to pull off the ground, avoid freaking out. this is normal. Just let off the gas a little until the wheels hit the ground again. You can then slowly get on the gas again.
- As you approach the top of the hill don't get overly excited. This is normally when people think they have made it up and they get on the gas to much and go over backwards.
- Go ride!!
Warnings
- You could end up hurting your self and others be very careful.
- Accelerate slowly as going too fast could end in injury or death.
- Always wear a helmet when you ride an ATV. You can buy a specialised ATV helmet, otherwise a motorbike helmet is good enough. Wearing a helmet when riding an ATV is not required by law, but it is extremely important because if you crash, the helmet will prevent potentially fatal head injuries and almost certainly save your life.
- Don't EVER have someone else on the ATV they may cause too much weight on either the front or back of the ATV.
