Steps
- Start your ATV/motorcycle and take off slowly and increase speed.
- Once you get to where you want to drift, push the throttle(gas lever) all the way.
- Steer the handle bars all the way left/right which ever way you want to go and hit the rear brake (foot brake) for better drifting.
- Practice that for a while and eventually you will master it.
Tips
- If in the event of doing this incorrectly, the tires can grip the ground and possibly flip over and crash the ATV. If you feel the balance starting to tip to the opposite side of your drift, quickly steer the ATV in that direction.
- Let go of the throttle before hitting the brakes.
- Make sure when you are drifting, do not release the throttle if the ATV is moving sideways. If you do, toy get two much grip on the side of the tire and you will flip the ATV over. You have to make sure the you have balance, so in the beginning, lean to the side to get more weight on the unbalanced side. Slide left, lean left. Slide right, lean right.
Warnings
- Do not do this if you are a beginner.
- You can possibly harm yourself and total your ATV, ride with caution and proper safety gear.
