Mass Produce Artworks
This article will help you solve your problem of having very large amounts of images produced for your specific need. This guide assumes that you are working within a global socio-economic system of the early 21st century.
Steps
- First, you need to start with a system in which visual content is almost more important than written content. Usually, a large website with user-generated content, accessed by a search engine with a large emphasis on pages with illustrations will do the trick.
- Second, you need to reach out to the people who will draw the artworks for you. This can be either through direct contact, by going to art schools in countries all over the world, or by hiring middle-person companies. Going to art schools can establish long-term partnerships with individual artists, while middle-men can ensure a steady-stream of high-quality content, regardless of who draws it. It's up to you to pick a balance between both!
- Careful! Sometimes the middleman can drastically overestimate their cut and leave your artist below the poverty line. This can lead to damaged client-artist relationship and lower quality artworks being produced.
- Submit a sample page that your artist should illustrate. This should usually include 3-4 images. Along with the sample page, don't forget to send them any guidelines that they should follow (e.g. use soft color palettes, include ethnic and gender diversity, etc.)
- Ask your artist to submit the images in a .zip file, for more consistency; and it's easier to keep track of!
- Once you've received the artwork and are satisfied with it, pay the artist.
- You can now reach out to new art schools and new middlemen and are ready to get your artworks mass-produced!
Tips
- Do not forget to credit the artists if they so desire.
