Clean Gas Dispensers

Diesel and other residue can build up over time on hard surfaces like gasoline dispensers, pump handles, concrete surfaces and more. Use the following instructions for an efficient, time saving method to remove diesel from metal surfaces. This method works on heavy duty stains and gets the job done right in an easy way! Effective on garbage cans, pump handles and cradles, nozzles, hoses, and fuel dispensers.

Steps

  1. Create cleaning mixture. For the most effective cleaning job, use a multi-surface super-concentrate cleaner. Research different options and pick the brand that best suits your needs.
    • Follow the product instructions included with the super-concentrate, but most brands will combine the cleaner with water. Add this mixture to a 32 oz spray bottle.
    • Fill a separate spray bottle with 32 oz of water.
    • Gather both bottles and continue to cleaning process.
    • Appropriatley label both bottles as "CLEANER" and "WATER"
  2. Cleaning procedure. Spray the CLEANER directly onto the affected area using the "jet stream" setting on the spray bottle.
    • Spray starting from top to bottom. Use a generous amount of solution to allow grime to drain-off the surface.
  3. Next, spray water on the surface you just sprayed with CLEANER to rinse off the diesel, dirt and grime. No scrubbing is necessary but a rag may be used to dry the area after surface is properly rinsed.
  4. Repeat process weekly or as needed.
