Tag a Friend in Your Status on Facebook

Tagging your friends in your photos on Facebook is fun, but tagging them in your status is GREAT! They will be notified as soon as you tag them, allowing them to see your status update immediately. Once you've mastered the status tag, you won't remember how you ever lived without it!

Steps

  1. Log into your Facebook account.
  2. Go on your profile: you can either click on your name (left corner above "Edit Profile") or you can click on your name at the upper right corner.
  3. Start writing your status. Let's say you want to say "Going to dinner with Albert Einstein". Start by typing in "Going to dinner with..."
  4. Type "@", followed by your friend's name: Albert.
    • A Box will appear showing Albert's full name and profile picture.
  5. Click his/her name and it will appear in blue.
  6. Continue writing your status!

Tips

  • You don't have to type in the whole name, it will show you a list (Ex.: Lin=Linda Hyglehyme).
