Taking a screenshot
- Turn on your iPod Touch. This can be done via the circular Home button on the bottom of the device, or the power switch on the top. If you have a passcode enabled, enter it.
- Open the app or webpage on Safari that you wish to take a screen capture of.
- Hold down the Home button and the power switch simultaneously for a second, and quickly let go.
- You will see a flash and hear a camera click, if the volume is audible on your iPod.
- Press the Photos app on the home screen. Your screen capture should be there in the iPod Touch gallery.
Tips
- Do not hold the Power button for longer than three seconds when taking screenshots. This will prompt you to shut down, or power off, the device.
- To sync your iPod Touch screenshots with iTunes, connect your device to a computer via the Apple USB cable and select "Sync iPod". From there you can save photos, copy into Photoshop, etc. If you use iCloud on your iPod, your photos should sync automatically.
