Ask a Boy out in Sixth Grade

Do you want to see if the 6th grade boy of your dreams even likes you? Find out with this article.

Steps

  1. Become friends with him. Talk with him often and build up a friendship with each other. Though this isn't as hard as it seems, some girls struggle with such things. If you're one of those girls, start gradually. Ask him for help with your books. Make sure he's not occupied because then you can spend more time with him. Chat it up while your at it.
  2. Become friends with his friends too, if they like you, they might be like, "You should really date (whatever your name is). If you have a friend who's friends with guys, become their friends. They probably know your crush(at least better than you probably do).
  3. Don't reveal too much too soon. He will open up to you more if you open up to him as well. Open up gradually.
  4. Add him to a social network or texting. Talk to him as friends frequently, but not every second because that will make you look weird. Since you are in sixth grade, remember that not everyone has social networks or a phone.
  5. Flirt with him! Try complimenting him one day or use body language to hint that you are interested.
  6. Take him somewhere private and use this line on him:If you had to pick between girls [Name1] [Name2] or [Name3], which would you pick?" If he picks you, well there's your answer! If not, keep reading.
  7. Be honest: tell him that you like him and ask him out. See how he reacts. If he is calm or looks like he is not interested-just walk away and let it go. However if he looks happy or nervous, then he may like you too!

Tips

  • Stay with your friends at this time of getting your new boy. You might abandon them, and sixth grade is a time where you need friends to survive school. Even if they're not as popular as he is, friends come before boys.
  • Be patient with him. Don't rush into things.
  • Remember, it's not the end of the world if he ends up not liking you. You have your whole life ahead of you still.
  • Never be afraid to tell him you like him.
  • Remember to set your sights on the middle of the group. If you try to go for the most popular/cutest, you will more likely than not end up getting hurt.
  • If you think he has a crush on someone else, clarify that first.

Warnings

  • If you take him somewhere private during school time, you may risk getting caught and punished with detention.

Things You'll Need
