Build a Tabletop for a Mountain Bike

Have you ever wanted to build a good, safe tabletop for your bike? If yes, then this article is for you.

Steps

  1. Gather some clay dirt for the base of the jump. Approximately one wheelbarrow full.
  2. Spread the clay dirt in a rectangular shape roughly a metre long x half a metre wide.
  3. Get some nice clean dirt. Approximately three wheelbarrows.
  4. Empty some on each side of the clay base, but keep a little bit in the barrow.
  5. Shape the takeoff and landing to desired size and angle.
  6. Top up each side with the left over dirt.
  7. For the middle, get some gravel dirt. Approximately three and a half barrows.
  8. Pour the gravel in the middle.
  9. Place a sheet of plywood on top if you have some.
  10. Go jump your new creation.And remember that you should do your best no matter what, If you fall try again untill you get it right.

Tips

  • Use some water to help compact dirt.
  • Be patient.
  • Practice makes perfect.

  • Start off slow when jumping for first time.
