Bunny Hop on a Kick Scooter (Crouch Method)

This may be the easiest trick in the book for scootering. This trick is very important in order to do other tricks. Have fun!

Steps

  1. Ride your scooter at any speed you feel is reasonable.
  2. Grip the handlebars tight and crouch down a bit. (The more you crouch the higher you'll get!)
  3. Literally jump while riding the scooter as you are still gripping the handlebars.
  4. Pull back very slightly on the handlebars so you don't tip forward and do a face plant.
  5. When you land, kind of tense up to take the force of the landing, and then relax your body.
  6. You may slow down, just push with your feet.
  7. Keep going, practice makes perfect!

Tips

  • This method forms the basis of many other scooter tricks, so keep practicing!
  • Safety gear is recommended!
  • If you fall, make sure to have friends that have cell phones close by when riding in case you seriously hurt yourself!

  • Wear a helmet just in case you fall, and other padding if you want.
