Change Your Facebook Profile Picture Without Cropping on Android

This article teaches you how to add an uncropped profile photo to Facebook on an Android device.

Steps

Using the Facebook App

  1. Open Facebook. It’s the blue icon with a white “f” on your home screen or in the app drawer.
  2. Tap ☰. It’s at the top-right corner of the screen.
  3. Tap your name. It’s near the top of the screen. This opens your profile.
  4. Tap Edit on your profile photo.
  5. Tap Select Profile Picture.
  6. Select the photo you want to upload.
  7. Tap Edit on the photo. It’s at the photo’s bottom-left corner.
  8. Tap Done. It’s at the top-right corner of the screen. This saves the photo without cropping it.
  9. Tap Use. It’s at the top-right corner of the screen. Your new profile photo is now saved.

Using the Facebook Mobile Website

  1. Open Chrome. It’s the round red, blue, green, and yellow icon labeled “Chrome” on your home screen.
    • If you use a web browser other than Chrome, open that instead.
  2. Navigate to https://m.facebook.com. If you see a login screen, enter your login details to sign in now.
  3. Tap ☰. It’s at the top-right corner of the screen.
  4. Tap your name. It’s near the top of the screen.
  5. Tap the camera icon on your profile photo. It’s at the photo’s bottom-right corner.
  6. Select a photo or tap Upload a New Photo. If you don’t see the photo you want to use in the Suggested Photos area, tapping Upload a New Photo will open your Android’s photo gallery. Tap the photo you want to use to add it to Facebook.
  7. Tap Set as Profile Picture. This sets the selected photo as your profile picture without cropping it.
