Delete a Profile Picture on Facebook on iPhone or iPad

This article teaches you how to delete a current or past Facebook profile picture using your iPhone or iPad.

Steps

Deleting Your Current Picture

  1. Open Facebook. It’s the green icon with a white “F” typically found on the home screen.
    • If you’re not currently signed in, enter your login credentials to do so now.
  2. Tap your profile picture. It’s near the top-left corner of the screen next to the “What’s on your mind?” box.
  3. Select View Profile Picture. Your picture will open in full-screen mode.
  4. Tap ⋯. It’s at the top-right corner of the picture.
  5. Tap Delete Photo.
  6. Tap Delete to confirm. The picture is now deleted from your profile.

Deleting Past Pictures

  1. Open Facebook. It’s the green icon with a white “F” typically found on the home screen.
    • If you’re not currently signed in, enter your login credentials to do so now.
  2. Tap your profile picture. It’s near the top-left corner of the screen next to the “What’s on your mind?” box.
  3. Tap Photos. It’s the button between “About” and “Friends” near the top of your profile.
  4. Tap Albums. It’s at the top-right corner of the screen.
  5. Tap Profile Pictures. You may have to scroll down to find this album.
  6. Tap the picture you want to delete. This opens the picture in full-screen mode.
  7. Tap ⋯. It’s at the top-right corner of the picture.
  8. Tap Delete Photo.
  9. Tap Delete to confirm. The picture is no longer in your Profile Pictures album.
