Steps
Fancy grass
- Draw a horizontal line to form the foundation of the grass.
- Draw curves from the horizontal line to make the grass outline.
- Based off of the outline, draw the grass by making a series of connected curves pointing upward.

- Draw a horizontal line to form the foundation of the grass.
- Draw a series of long, narrow, pointed curves to make the grass.
- Complete your grass by drawing pointed curves facing downward on the edges of the grass.

Draw Grass Using a Pencil
- Create a border on the paper you are going to draw on.
- Visualize where you will be drawing the grass and create a rough outline.
- Sketch soft small curved strokes using a pencil, point some to the left, and others to the right.
- Darken the strokes on the second layer of the grass drawing to make it appear like it has texture.
- Add details like a few small rocks for added interest.
- Darken a few areas, places which were supposed to be dirt.
Draw Cartoon Style Grass
- Create a silhouette of a blade of grass by drawing two slightly curved lines intersecting on one end.
- Repeat Step 1 and make as many grass blades as you want, each pointing either to the left or right.
- For folded grass effect, sketch two parallel curved lines pointing upwards.
- Connect these two lines by adding another pair of parallel lines, but this time, intersect these two lines so that they meet at the tip.
- Draw a parallel line to connect the lines you had drawn earlier.
- Repeat Steps 4 and 5 and add as many you wish.
- Draw stones and pebbles for added interest.
- Color the drawing.
