Steps

  1. "Scene Queens" wear tons of hair extensions. By your 4-7 month in you will have to get hair extensions. A full head set is a must. Try to stick with one color (real hair dye is good to).
  2. Join and be active on social networking sites such as Myspace, Facebook, or Twitter. You may also want to try TSK (thescenekidz.webs.com) which is a new site for "Scene" kids that is becoming VERY popular.
  3. Most Scene Queens are models or do some modeling. Have professional photos taken and upload them to your site.Recommended you don't use any mobile photos, but you can if you like.
  4. Be professional about this. Everything from the hair to makeup to your pictures. It takes time, so be patient and don't rely on other people. Get it done yourself.
  5. Bright and over the top makeup is key. Thick black eyeliner, bold colored shadows and pale faces with blush.
  6. Short skirts, tutus, bright/patterned tights or leggings, shorts and band t-shirts are all popular scene clothes. Bat, Diamond, or Hello kitty shaped necklaces are also popular.
  7. Be random and bubbly. You can get piercings but you don't have to.

Tips

  • Get as many friends as possible.
  • be yourself
  • Also, try adding some cool special effects to your pictures, like add in a cool quote in big letters or cute symbols in neon colors to brighten up and excite the picture.
  • Don't change in one day or you'll be called a poser
  • Be confident, there are no shy Scene Queens.
  • Join and update on a lot of social networking sites.

Warnings

  • Don't be mean to others if they don't like your look. Being scene means you could care less what others say about you, so don't let that get in your way. If they don't like it, just blow 'em off.
  • Scene is a style, so if you choose to go with it you will never be a poser. Being a poser is like saying you're a great skateboarder, but you fall off as soon as you step on a board. You can't be a poser by suddenly deciding that you want to change your look. There are no "true" scene queens.
  • People may stare.
  • Scene kids have a reputation for being elitist, snobby, and in some cases slutty/man-whore-ish, so make sure you REALLY want to be associated with the scene and can handle the stereotypes that come with it.
  • People will make nasty comments about your appearance.
