Drink Hot Chocolate with Ice Cream

Make your hot chocolate more enjoyable through the power of ice cream!

Ingredients/ Things You'll Need

  • Hot chocolate mix (powdered or syrup)
  • A large mug
  • Ice cream
  • A spoon
  • Hot water

Steps

  1. Make the hot chocolate of your choice. Powdered mix is preferred, but syrup mixes are also acceptable.
  2. Pour your finished hot chocolate into a mug. Larger mugs work better.
  3. Add 1-2 scoops of the ice cream of your choice.
  4. Once you have added the ice cream, use a spoon to eat the ice cream which should be submersed in the hot chocolate.
  5. Continue to do so until the ice cream is melted, at which point, drink what is left.

Tips

  • The more ice cream you can fit into your mug, the better.
  • Mint Chocolate Chip or Peppermint are the best choices for ice cream. Vanilla ice cream is good, too.
  • An easy way to "make" hot chocolate is to buy chocolate milk and pour the amount you need in a pan on the stove; heat to just below boiling and ladle into cups. The results are smooth and creamy, with no powdery bits of cocoa to mix. One or two cups could be heated in the microwave.

Warnings

  • Don't burn yourself making the hot chocolate.
  • Don't eat the ice cream too fast, or you won't have any left to melt into your drink.
  • Don't use a chipped mug.
