Enjoy a Quiet Time Alone
Is school stressing you out? Is work getting to you? We all need time to ourselves. Even if you are not Relax and Destress, taking time to be by yourself can be calming and rewarding.
Steps
- Make sure that everything else is under control. Even if you're Release Stress Gently or tired, be sure that your home is orderly, so as not to let things prey on your mind while you are enjoying a moment to yourself.
- Take a bath.
- As you fill the tub, add some bubble bath to the running water.
- Stay in the bathroom and watch that the water does not overflow from the tub!
- Periodically, test the water to be sure it's not too hot or not too cold.
- While waiting, read a magazine to pass the time.
- Light some scented candles.
- Dim the lights and get into the tub.
- Close your eyes and relax.
- Free your mind of any worries. Remove yourself from the rest of the world for the next thirty minutes.
- Use a fluffy towel and pat yourself dry. Do not rub as this encourages drier skin and nobody wants that.
- Moisturize your skin with Make Your Own Orange Delight Body Lotion once reasonably dry. Apply extra lotion to elbows and feet, if needed.
- Relax and enjoy yourself.
- Prepare a favorite Make Madeleines. Enjoy a relaxing herbal tea.
- Watch an old movie.
- Read a short story.
- Record in your journal.
- Write poetry.
- Daydream.
- Meditate.
- Take a long nap.
- Do Nothing.
