Fix a Slow Leaking Tire (Tubeless Tires)
Tubeless tires can deflate during changes in the weather if the seal is not perfect (Or if you hit a curb or pot hole and dinged the seal). This can be annoying and waste very expensive gasoline. Follow these steps for each tire.
Steps
- Buy one can of Fix-a-Flat.
- Follow the directions on the can (very simple).
- Drive to a gas station and fill the tire to proper level (if necessary).
- Drive at least {{safesubst:#invoke:convert|convert}} to distribute the sealant before it dries.
Tips
- Lick your finger and rub on embossed tire pressure to see more clearly.
- Proper tire pressure is usually on the plate on the drivers side door.
Warnings
- Not recommended for newer cars.
- If this doesn't work, replacing the tire might not work. You may need to have the wheel assembly repaired or replaced.
Things You'll Need
- One can of Fix-a-Flat per leaking tire
