Like that guy sitting in the corner. The only thing is: he's shy. A shy person is hard to reach but here is how to do this.

Steps

Ask him some questions about schoolwork, or try to start a simple conversation with him. Ask him if he has Myspace or facebook because they're havens for shy people.
Let him feel like he is special. He will like to hear about his strengths. Don't do it too much, or he will get annoyed by it. If he doesn't get annoyed, there is a good chance the only person he cares about is himself.
Make sure he understands that you actually care about what he has to say.
Be confident and self-assured, which,in turn, will make him confident and self-assured.
Tell him a joke or something, but make sure it won't hurt his feelings or offend him.
Say hi to him if you see him around.
Flirt with him. It will confirm his suspicions that you like him, unless he's clueless.
At the right time you may want to admit your feelings.

Just be friendly to him. He may like you too, but might be too shy to flirt with you.
MAKE SURE he doesn't have a girlfriend or boyfriend.
Try not to be nervous. It will only make him nervous too.
Don't overdo anything.
Don't stare.
Don't annoy him.
Make sure you follow your heart. If you're feeling unsure about him, don't lead him on. But if you think you like him and have a little doubt, just take it slow.
Don't play around with guys that you're not interested in going out with. It will get their hopes up, and then crush them when they muster up the courage to ask you out.
If he isn't interested, don't despair, there are other chances you will have.
Make him jealous by talking to another boy and he will wanna ask you out.
If you think he likes you back, don't get too cocky. That will only make him think you're a snob.

Acting shy yourself won't improve your chances with him.
If you are quiet and shy around him, there will be nothing to talk about and he won't be interested.
