The Uchiha prodigy Itachi Uchiha is one of the most feared as well as respected ninja in the Narutoverse. Though portrayed as a villain for most of the story, he was in fact very loyal to his village going up to the extent of slaughtering all people he loved and then being branded as a traitor for the sake of peace of the village and his brother.

Steps
- Be intelligent. Study your hardest, improve your grades and make the right decisions when under pressure by assessing the situation. Read a lot to gather knowledge in different areas and do mental exercises to improve your logic and thinking ability. Itachi was a child prodigy and an incredibly intelligent ninja; if one wishes to emulate his behavior, one must be able to think from an intelligent and analytical perspective.
- Work as hard as possible at academics, martial arts, and other pursuits. However, never show or let anyone know how hard you work. Work as hard as you need to to be the best or very close to being among the best, but don't pursue ambitions you know you won't be good at. To be like Itachi in academics and martial arts, you'll need to be a brilliant student and work adamantly at all of your subjects, unless you know you will never be good at them. As you become better at academics, make goals to be the top student of your entire class; endeavor to excel and you should land at the top. At age 7, Itachi graduated from the Academy at the top of his class.
- Be mysterious. Never reveal your true self, nor show your full power to an opponent that you know can be beaten easily.Even though Itachi was very powerful, he never showed it.
- Have self control. Control your emotions even when someone is much more powerful then you expected. Keep your composure and when surprised try not to show it.
- Be fit. Train day after day doing sit ups, crunches and push ups. Try to increase your stamina.
- Be skillful. Practice your art day after day until you master it. Research, go over the limits and learn.
- Be loyal. Don't be selfish. For example, Itachi was loyal to his village.Be kind to people but not too kind. Just the right amount. You don't want people to step all over you.
- Develop a clean reputation. Never do anything silly, risky, or stupid to upset or annoy people. Voice out your opinion. Never say or do anything and don't interact with people you don't wish to talk to unless it is necessary. Starting conversations with people without a logical reason signals a lack of focus. Never think out loud, or ramble on.
- Voice your thoughts and opinions. Itachi gave some opinions of stuff just make sure you can state your point if they ask for one. Also, never think out loud. Itachi voiced his opinions on the clan and if not agreed, he always went for it, such as when he stated about a true shinobi.
- Be a good brother or sister. Show compassion and love for your sibling.
- Avoid battles. Itachi was infact a pacifist and always avoided battle, but, when forced, he finishes it quickly. So, even when tempted, don't give in to it.
- Watch Naruto. The best way to know Itachi is by re-watching the anime or re-reading the manga.
- Try your best to dress like him. Note that he wore very casual clothing, so try to avoid wearing brand-name clothing, or following any trend. Be simple.
- Have one or three good friends that you trust, rather than twenty friends that you "sort of know". Maintain good relationships with your friends, especially those with similar interests as you. Don't waste time trying to help all of the friends you "sort of know" and make sure you are there to help your close friends. If you are unsure of who your good friends are, try typing them in a word document. Trim it down until it is only people that you would trust with something important to you and those who you want to be friends with.
- If you get into a conflict, don't be afraid to talk your opponent down and diffuse the situation rather than getting into a fight, especially if it will get you out of a situation with someone you don't want to get into a deep conflict with. Don't say something that will provoke, or make your opponent more aggressive and don't verbally assault them. Say just enough to weaken them psychologically. It's a good idea to wait until you know you have a mental advantage over your opponent to talk them down. This can be improved by looking your opponent deep in the eyes. This will show that you are unmoved by their words and strike fear into them. Don't blink or lose focus.
- Be strategic. Being strategic is different from being intelligent; it's using strategies on everything and plan everything. Do not rush, and, whatever your plan is, and make sure your plans work. Itachi had very good plans in mind and they were pretty elaborate. Make sure you plan everything you're to do. it can be both a long-term plan (such as a good friend) or a short-term plan (such as a fight, like you're throwing your book bag then bringing him down).
Tips
- Sharpen and develop your intuition.
- Never let anyone pick on you, as this will cause others to do the same, and will ruin your reputation. Plus, people don't really bother you if you pretty much keep to yourself.
- Develop your own sense of how the world flows. As you mature, try to find your own beliefs instead of blindly following those of others. If you struggle with a belief, try to think of it logically and see how you truly feel.
- If you do not want to communicate with someone, but they communicate with you, never ignore them, just give back one-word answers. This will sort of give them a hint that you don't want to be bothered.
- Whatever you do, never be racist. If someone is racist towards you, insult them with the name you set up. If they continue to insult you, say, "I'm leaving. You don't interest me at the moment" and walk away. This will show your maturity and will make the other person look immature.
- Take a look at the people around you. If you are at school, observe the people around you, and think of an insult for each and every one of them, so if some one insults you, you can insult them back without using unnecessary words like swearing.
- Have good vocabulary and don't use profanity. A calm voice is also good. Don't fake your Itachi voice. The English voice for Itachi (Crispin Freeman) was actually fake and not his real voice.
- Never go out of your way for anyone, unless it's a family member or a very good friend.
- Try meditation. By meditating properly, one can have self control, self awareness, and can help strengthen one's ambition to learn.
- Know that everyone has something that they're weak at; that includes Itachi. His chakra level is below average. The point is, don't stress out about not being good at everything. If you can't do something right, you should improve but do stress out. and if you are not a good fighter, then try your best, just like when Itachi kept Susanoo with very low chakra when it was almost his end.
- Itachi acted as the evil brother; he sacrificed himself for his brother's sake. He wanted to die by Sasuke's hands and make Sasuke the Leaf's one true hero, so being evil isn't an Itachi-like trait.
- Remain mysterious. Do not flirt with a girl or show interest unless they have interest in you. If you want to, get a friend to say it for you and let the girl come to you and ask if its true. It's not Itachi-ish to see him flirting. Also, Itachi drew Sasuke to him, not the other way around.
- Refrain from awkward hellos and good byes. To do so, just avoid eye contact with them. The rest will take care of itself.
- Poke your younger sibling in the forehead like Itachi. Then say sorry, followed by their name.
Warnings
- Don't go the extent of copying Itachi to a 100%. Everyone has a unique personality which should be embraced. Itachi himself said that " [Imitating a person they admire] is merely a process to help one mature. But don't use it as a cloak to deceive yourself. You gain nothing when you attach your self value to something external that is admirable and praiseworthy to you. Don't mislead yourself with lies. Those who cannot acknowledge themselves will invariably fail. "
- Don't get into fights with people on purpose. Though he slaughtered his clan, he was forced to do so due to pressing circumstances and having limited options, i.e. preventing a large war and to keep his village and brother safe. Itachi did not enjoy violence and was a Pacifist and always strived for peace.
- Don't go overboard, like wearing an Akatsuki robe and wearing nail polish. Even if you admire Itachi, cosplay-ing him will freak people out in your daily life.
