Install LED Daytime Running Lights on Volkswagen MK6 Gti

This guide is a brief way to show you how to install LED Daytime Running Lights on a Volkswagen MK 6 G.Ti. You will be able to show off your new LED lights in no time at all.

Steps

  1. Use a pry tool to pop out the stock fog light bezel covers.

Before, we had a customer install this product by removing his front bumper, but we discovered that you can just use a pry tool to pop out the stock bezel.
Don't use a screwdriver because you may unintentionally scratch it.

  2. Replace with the new LED Daytime Running Lights exactly the same way you removed the stock ones.
Remember the way you removed your stock bezels because the way you put it back is the exact reverse. Insert the bigger tab in first, then snap in the smaller tabs.
Here is a tip: Test the LED lights before you put them back.
  3. Route the wires by connecting the driver side and passenger side LED Daytime Light to the module and tap the wires.
Tap red to battery positive and black to battery negative.
We had the car raised in this installation so we could route the wires easily. This customer also installed a down pipe so his car is already raised.
We recommend you raise the car so you can route the wires easily, but if you can't do that you can still install it perfectly fine.
  4. Enjoy your Volkswagen's LED Daytime Running Lights!

Tips

  • If you have the equipment, you can try to lift the car up.
  • Use a pry tool instead of a screwdriver to remove the stock bezel or you may accidentally scratch it.
  • Test the LED lights before you put them back.
