Have you ever wanted to impress your friends with an imposing quick stunt? It's thrilling, but it's best to know how to execute it correctly. See below to find out what it takes.
Steps
- Set up the ramp. While setting up the ramp, insure that you have enough room to gain speed. Note that you don't have to be going downhill. It's also ideal to have decent amount of landing space too.
- Accelerate towards the ramp. Start the trick by lining up with where you want to collide with the ramp on top. If it's your first time trying a stunt, you might want to try jumping off the side where it's not so high to prevent an unwarranted accident.
- Hit the ramp. When you have hit the ramp, try doing a "bunny hop","ollie" or maybe even a "J-hop" as you leave the ramp by pulling up on the scooter and bringing your feet up with it.
- Avoid leaning forward or back fiercely and aim to keep straight. It's okay if you land on your back wheel, just try not to lean back to far.
Tips
- Avoid landing in the grass. The scooter will most likely stop tersely, and you may fly over the handlebars and injure yourself.
- When you land, bend your legs to absorb the energy. Don't land with straight legs.
- If it looks like you're going to land on your front wheel, jump off. You won't likely land very well and could possibly crash. If you're not so tilted, you can lean back and land, but it is a pretty hard thing to do if you're too far forward. If you're just starting out, It's recommended not trying this.
- You should only do this using a metal scooter with small wheels. Big scooters will get in the way and you will most likely crash.
- If you're uncomfortable with the height, jump off the side of the ramp.
- If you think you are too high and can't land, just let go of your scooter and land on your feet. You can also land with one foot on the scooter and one foot on the ground, however it will not count as a bunny-hop if you land on one foot.
- Keep in mind that you might seriously damage your scooter while attempting this stunt. *Remember, this trick is mainly to have fun.
Warnings
- Wear a helmet at all times, even if you think it looks "dorky". It's better to be safe than sorry.
- Make sure you're using an actual ramp, not just a wooden board with some bricks underneath it.
- If it seems too hard, try a smaller jump and gradually increase the level with your skill, don't overdo it.
Things You'll Need
