Kiss Him Like You Mean It

You've dreamed about kissing him for ages, and now you've finally got the opportunity. You need to kiss him like you mean it - otherwise, how will he know you're interested? You already have the first key ingredient - passion - but the art of kissing requires some physical skills, too. Learning how to move your lips, gaze into his eyes and use your hands will help ensure that your kiss won't be forgotten.

Steps

  1. Look deep in his/her eyes Don't just look down or away — hold his gaze! Looking into his eyes is an intimate gesture, and communicates that you're comfortable with him.
    • Take advantage of small opportunities to make eye contact before you kiss him. Look at him across a crowded room, or find reasons to glance over at him if you're sitting together.
    • Lock eyes just before he kisses you. A sustained gaze as you move closer will let him know that you're interested. (Just don't forget to close your eyes the second before you kiss him.)
  2. Kiss actively. Make yourself an active participant in the kiss, instead of just sitting there and passively allowing him to kiss you.
    • Move your lips. Avoid the dreaded dead fish pose by moving your lips gently open and closed along with the kiss. Just try to avoid smacking noises, and pay attention to your partner's cues on tempo — if he noticeably slows down or speeds up, follow along.
    • French kiss him back. If he's started French kissing you (and you're OK with that), be an equal partner. Instead of allowing his tongue to linger in your mouth, venture your own tongue out.
  3. Use your hands. Small hand motions can show him you're interested, and make the kiss more intense. Try these positions:
    • Tangle them in his hair
    • Run them over his shoulders
    • Cradle the sides of his face
    • Rest them on his chest or waist
  4. Smile at him when the kiss is over. Nothing will make him feel more amazing than knowing you enjoyed the kiss, so show it! Smile, breathlessly tell him "That was amazing" and look into his eyes again. He won't have any doubt that you meant it.

Tips

  • Make sure to have good breath. Consider chewing a breath mint or using a spray before the kiss or try.
  • Put your arms around him or do something with your hands to show that you are interested.
  • Try going somewhere private, especially when it's a first kiss.
  • Do not open your eyes during the kiss. It can be weird to see big eyes staring back at you.
  • Avoid sticky lip glosses or lip sticks. Use Chapstick beforehand to make your lips softer.
  • Remember kissing is just a small part of relationship so it would be wise to enjoy your relationship rather than focusing too much on kissing.
  • Don't put too much pressure on the 'Perfect' kiss. The more expectation you put on it the more likely its going disappoint you.
  • You can put on some lip balm for soft and gentle lips, which will be great to kiss. For an appealing effect, you can put on some lip gloss.

Warnings

  • Make sure you don't have mono or another infection like oral herpes or a cold sore, and that he doesn't either.
