Make Basil Pesto Pasta

Basil pesto pasta is a favorite dish for many people.

Ingredients

  • A handful of fresh basil
  • About a cup of pine nuts
  • 7-8 tablespoons of olive oil
  • 2 cloves of garlic
  • Fettuccine pasta (as much as you want)
  • Parmesan or mozzarella cheese (optional)

Steps

  1. Chop the pine nuts with a knife or herb chopper.
  2. Chop the fresh basil and 2 cloves of garlic. Chop until the garlic and basil are finely chopped.
  3. Add just about 7-8 tablespoons of olive oil. Mix the basil and garlic together in a bowl.
  4. Put the fettuccine pasta in for boiling.
  5. After the pasta is cooked, drain the water out. Put the pasta on a plate.
  6. Put the pesto on the pasta. Mix it up.
  7. Add Parmesan cheese on top, if desired.
  8. Finished.



Tips

  • Olive oil is essential or the taste doesn't get enhanced.
  • Make sure that the basil is fresh.
  • Try Parmesan cheese or mozzarella for a boost.
