Make Beetroot Sauce / Chutney
Are you on a diet but can't resist to have a sandwich? What about experimenting with Beetroots? This might not sound that interesting but this beetroot sauce will transform your daily sandwich into a healthy yet delicious meal. This is how you make this interesting sauce/chutney.

Steps
- Boil beetroots. Make sure that the water is below boiling point or else all the goodness of beetroot will be destroyed. Let it boil slowly.
- Allow the beetroot to cool down. Let it leave some amount of water.
- Peel them using a peeler.
- In a mixer, combine halves of the beetroots, some fresh mint leaves, spoonfuls of sugar or honey and a dash of salt and pepper.
- Grind them in the mixer. Grind it until it gains a consistency of a thick paste. Add some amount of water if required.
- Finished. Add it to your sandwich and feel the magic it does on your tastebuds.
Tips
- The sauce will be alright for about a week if kept under refrigeration.
- Another way to create this sauce is you could boil the beetroot, drain it, and let it cool before adding it to some vinegar with sliced onions and chilis. It makes a delicious salad to have with meals.
Warnings
- Beetroot stains anything it touches. Be sure to peel it on a kitchen board, wearing gloves if you want stain-free hands. Wipe any juice up immediately before it soaks into anything.
