Make Grilled Pineapple

Grilled Enjoy Pineapples is an excellent way to end a heavy, meaty Barbecue meal. It matches up perfectly with tri-tip steak, pork chops, and chicken. It also goes well in meat kabobs, along with vegetables. Here is how to make grilled pineapple.

Ingredients

  • 1 large ripe pineapple
  • 1 to 3 tablespoons honey, to taste
  • 2 to 3 tablespoons butter, melted
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon or lime juice

Steps

  1. Prepare the pineapple by trimming the top off, coring, and peeling it. Cut them into quarters, then {{safesubst:#invoke:convert|convert}} slices.
  2. Measure and add the honey, melted butter, and lemon/lime juice in a small bowl. Stir with a spoon.
  3. Apply the Make Marinated Vegetables mixture to the pineapple slices in two ways:
    • Brush the mixture to the slices with a glazing brush on both sides.
    • Add the marinate and pineapple slices in a large freezer bag. Place in the refrigerator for 30 minutes or overnight, for best flavor.
  4. Grill the slices for about 3-4 minutes on each side, or until grill marks appear.
  5. Remove from the grill and use any remaining marinate or glaze for additional flavoring.



Tips

  • You can substitute the honey for brown sugar, which caramelizes the pineapple while it cooks.
