- Yellow cake mix box, including extra ingredients listed on box
- 1 can (16 oz) white frosting

- Make cupcakes according to the box directions. Let cool on a cooling rack.
- Prepare the buns and meat. Use a {{safesubst:#invoke:convert|convert}} circle diameter cookie cutter and cut out 24 circles from the brownies. Depending on each cupcake's height, cut them into halves or thirds. Add a brownie circle to the bottom of a cupcake.
- Prepare the condiments. Divide the frosting container in three bowls, but put a little more in the third bowl. Reserve each bowl to one food color and drop 3 to 4 drops; making the green color have the most frosting. These will represent ketchup, mustard, and lettuce. Place each colored frosting in a zipper bag and snip off a corner tip. Lightly blob the ketchup and mustard first on the brownie meat. Design the lettuce with a squiggly design.
- Place the top bun on gently. With a wet finger, dab a very thin layer of water on the top bun. Sprinkle sesame seeds and press down gently to hold them in.
Tips
- For the lettuce you can also use shredded coconut. Just toss the coconut with green food coloring and let it dry before using.
- To have a more "crisp looking" condiments, refrigerate the frosting for about an hour before using. This helps to harden it and creates a nicer presentation.
- For a "slice of cheese" you can buy white fondant, add yellow food coloring and knead until color is completely blended. Roll fondant to 1/8" thickness. Cut into squares slightly bigger than "hamburger" and add on top of "hamburger" before adding condiments. Same can be done to make leafy lettuce, except use green instead of yellow coloring.
