Ingredients
- Potatoes
- Salt
- Seasonings
Steps
- Wash and remove the skin from several potatoes. You can make french fries out of most varieties of potato, but russet potatoes make the longest fries. One thing to consider is that if the potatoes are too big, you will need to cut them in half in order to fit them into the french fry cutter.
- Cut the potatoes into strips using a french fry cutter. If you don’t have a french fry cutter, then you can use a knife to cut the potato into strips or wedges.
- Lightly spray a baking sheet with cooking spray and arrange your french fries onto it in a single layer. Spray the tops of the fries lightly with cooking spray.
- Bake your homemade french fries in the oven at 350ºF/180ºC until they are soft and the tips begin to brown.
- Lightly sprinkle with salt or other seasonings and enjoy!
