Make Money on RuneScape as a Level 3

You've just done the RS tutorial with Sir Vant and arrived into the mainland of RuneScape, but not sure of how to gain money. It is difficult for you to accomplish this. If you are a new person to RuneScape or have created another account, but wish to gain side skills on a Level 3 character, this is the article for you.

Steps

Runecrafting

  1. Do the Rune Mysteries Quest. Now you can mine rune essence, and craft runes. Each time you take a load to the Air Altar, you will gain a level until about 15, which means fire rune time! You can also craft minds, but watch out--the altar is 4 squares away from the Wilderness.
  2. If you are a member, later you can craft natures, chaos, and others, and you can mine pure essence.
  3. If you are a free player, and you are just in it for the money, stay with Air Runes and sell them for 15-20gp, especially to PKing mages in the wilderness. If you are not just in it for the money, craft what runes you need and train with them to get up your magic level. Runecrafting makes magic a lot cheaper. If you care to get more money without training your stats, go to world 16 and request assistance from a person that says 8x 9x or 10x then craft your runes. This only works on world 16 and you have to be at the air temple.

Hunting (members only)

  1. Get membership and go north of Rellaka to the snowy area with the proper tools to catch kebbits. Follow polar kebbits and sell their furs for 1.8k roughly each. Hunt these until level 33.
  2. Then, go hunt barb-tailed kebbits in Feldip Hills until level 47.
  3. Next, go to the desert and hunt orange salamanders until level 65. You'll need 5-6 pieces of rope for this. This is where the money comes in.
  4. Get a few box traps and head back to Feldip Hills again and catch red chinchompas, which sell for about 850 gp each. They stack, so you won't have to bank each trip.

Dragon leather

  1. Grab 3 mil and go in G.E.
  2. Buy 500 dragon hides and go to tannery.
  3. Then go to G.E and sell them.

Tips

  • Train on low monsters and get your level up. It is nice to not be called a noob, and being a higher level (combat or other) can make the game more fun.

Warnings

  • Also the second trade window and check carefully that everything is correct.
  • Fall for "noob" trades; meaning someone can't scam and take advantage of your things because of the beginner level you are at.
  • If you hunt chinchompas, right-click the chinchompas you have caught.

Things You'll Need

  • Very basic items (small net, knife, tinderbox, etc); stuff that you get in Tutorial Island.
  • Upgradable skill necessities (woodcutting axe, mining pick axe, etc).
  • An axe. This will be very handy for canoes. (You can not use a canoe if you have a familiar or a cat following you, just pick it up).
