Make Mushroom and Garlic Scrambled Eggs
Delicious scrambled eggs mixture featuring mushrooms and garlic for the tastiest flavor.
Ingredients
Serves 2 persons
- 5 eggs
- 1 onion
- 2 cloves of garlic
- 50 grams / 1.7 ounces of grated cheese
- 7 small mushrooms
- Salt, pepper, chili powder, curry powder, to taste
- Olive oil
- Milk
Steps
- Chop an onion into very fine pieces. Chop the garlic and mushrooms too.
- Put the chopped onion in a frying pan with a little olive oil. Put on medium heat and cook until the onion has a glassy look. Add the chopped garlic and mushrooms to the mixture.
- Add two pinches of curry powder and a substantial amount of chili powder (to taste––a quarter teaspoon is usually quite enough!).
- Whisk the eggs in a bowl and add milk. Also add salt, pepper and the grated cheese. Once the vegetable mixture is finished frying, add the egg mixture. Keep moving the egg around to scramble it.
- Take the scrambled egg off the heat when it's still a little soft. It firms up in the next few seconds of stirring. Serve hot or quite warm.
- Toast some bread in advance and keep it warm in a covered bread-basket or napkin. Serve the bread with the scrambled eggs.
Tips
- Keep onions in the fridge because when they are colder they release less gas when you cut them.
Warnings
- Don't leave the flame on the food while chopping the vegetables. It could burn the food.
