Make Your Minecraft Server Not Lag

This wiki will give you steps to make your Minecraft server not lag. It must be a Bukkit server.

Steps

  1. Make sure it is a Bukkit Server!
  2. Make sue your laptop/ computer has at least 6 gigabytes of RAM.
  3. Make sure you have a processor of at least 1.9 GHZ. (Or Intel f 1.5 GHZ.)
  4. Be sure to allocate enough ram. 4 gigabytes sounds good.
  5. You should get a plugin called "NoLagg" It helps with drops and mob numbers. Keeps lag down.
  6. Make sure your graphics are good. Nvidia or a hight and graphics sounds good!
  7. Be sure to keep other programs off while running the server.
  8. Use a desktop. Laptops over heat too easy. A desktop will do the job very nice.
  9. Get a plugin called "No Cheat"! It keeps people from hacking and keeps the lag down.

  • Allocate a good amount of ram
  • Make sure it is a bukkit server
  • Nice processor is recommended

Warnings

  • Be careful! Laptops do overheat!
