Make a Beer Bottle Bong
Create a beer bottle "bong" to help drink a bottle of beer faster – perhaps even in seconds! This bottle hack makes for extra amusement at parties and can be used as part of party Make a Sports Drinking Game.
Steps
- Assemble the items needed. These are listed below under "Things You'll Need".
- Take the thicker piece of tubing that will go over the bottle's neck and punch a small hole in it, about half to three quarters of the way down. The hole needs to be big enough for the smaller, straw-sized tube to be inserted through.
- Push the smaller, straw-sized tube through the hole. Do this so that one side pokes out of the side of the big, bottle-neck tube (as shown) and the other side dangles down through the center of the big tube. Make sure that most of the smaller, straw-sized tube hangs well out one of the ends of the bottle-neck tube.
- "Bong" the bottle. All you need to do is place the long end of the thin straw-like tube into the beer bottle. When placing it, ensure that there is a gap between the beer and the top of the bottle; you might need to take a few sips of beer first to create this gap.
- Test. Give it a quick sip to see if the bong has worked and to see if the fluid flows freely. Once satisfied, the tubing can be attached.
- Attach the thick tube over the top of the bottle. Ensure that the other end of the thin straw-like tube is located out of the bottle. This piece lets the air reach the bottom of the bottle, in turn making the beer flow faster. It's now ready to use – enjoy!
- To use your beer bottle bong, hold the entire apparatus with one finger over the small hole. Put the end in your mouth and hold the beer bottle bong upside down over your head. Let go of the hose and chug.
Tips
- The benefit of making your own beer bongs is that you can make quite a few for very little cost, which is ideal for party games.
- Beer bottle bongs can be purchased online or from retailers selling beer products. If you can't find food grade tubing, purchasing a ready-made one is preferable.
Warnings
- Do not have the thin straw aimed at your face when you turn the bottle over.
- Always drink responsibly. Fast consumption of alcohol will cause you to become inebriated faster. Account for this when using a beer bong.
Things You'll Need

- 1 piece of tubing about the thickness of a straw, 7-8" (17.5-20cm) long (choose food grade tubing)
