This recipe is fantastic for entertaining, since it's so easy to make, and everyone loves it! There are no special tools or steps that will cause hassles for you. If you need a quick and easy meal, this recipe is for you!

Ingredients

  • 8 oz. cream cheese
  • 1 can of crab meat
  • 1 tsp. horseradish
  • 2 tbsp. mayonnaise
  • Scallions (optional)
  • Salt

Steps

  1. Mix all ingredients together in a large bowl. Add the scallions and seasonings as needed or to taste. Be sure not to add too much of said ingredients, as this will overwhelm the other tastes. Blend evenly, making sure that the mixture is consistent and not too lumpy.
  2. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap or tin foil and put it in the refrigerator until firm (usually thirty minutes to an hour). Do not put it in the freezer.
  3. Make the firm paste into a ball and roll in chopped almonds. Set on a plate surrounded with crackers.
  4. Dig in, because you are finished!

Tips

  • Wheat Thins are the best crackers for this recipe.
  • Toast, or bread crust can also be used as cracker substitutes.

Warnings

  • Don't give this to anyone who has a seafood allergy.
  • Don't let the ball sit out for too long, or it will slowly sink back down into the liquid that you put into the fridge.
