Follow these steps to make a quick and easy ham and cheese omelet.
Ingredients
- 2 eggs. You could also use Egg Beaters. Follow the back of the box to find out how much to use that is the same as the 2 eggs.
- Ham
- Cheese
- 1 tablespoon of milk
- 1/4 teaspoon of salt
- Pepper (optional)
- Butter/oil for the pan (optional)
- Lettuce, peppers and tomato (optional)
- Pepperoni/Salami slices (optional)
Steps
- Put the butter/oil in a pan and begin heating.
- Crack 2 eggs into a bowl and beat them until they are mixed thoroughly.
- Add a tablespoon of milk into the mixture.
- Cut up small cubes/strips of ham and grate some cheese.
- Add all of the ham, grated cheese, lettuce and tomato to the egg mixture and stir.
- Add the mixture to the pan.
- Sprinkle the remaining cheese and ham on top of the mixture in the pan.
- Cook for about 3 minutes in the pan until it is no longer runny, but is still squishy in the middle.
- Finished.
Tips
- Do not stir or else you will make scramble eggs instead of omelette.
- Cooking on lower heat means that there is less margin for error.
- Don't leave your omelette while it's cooking.
Warnings
- Don't keep it in the pan for too long, otherwise the bottom of the omelet will burn.
- Don't add any more than 1/4 of a teaspoon of salt.
- Stove tops can burn you very easily, be careful.
