Make a Ham and Cheese Omelet

Follow these steps to make a quick and easy ham and cheese omelet.

Ingredients

  • 2 eggs. You could also use Egg Beaters. Follow the back of the box to find out how much to use that is the same as the 2 eggs.
  • Ham
  • Cheese
  • 1 tablespoon of milk
  • 1/4 teaspoon of salt
  • Pepper (optional)
  • Butter/oil for the pan (optional)
  • Lettuce, peppers and tomato (optional)
  • Pepperoni/Salami slices (optional)

Steps

  1. Put the butter/oil in a pan and begin heating.
  2. Crack 2 eggs into a bowl and beat them until they are mixed thoroughly.
  3. Add a tablespoon of milk into the mixture.
  4. Cut up small cubes/strips of ham and grate some cheese.
  5. Add all of the ham, grated cheese, lettuce and tomato to the egg mixture and stir.
  6. Add the mixture to the pan.
  7. Sprinkle the remaining cheese and ham on top of the mixture in the pan.
  8. Cook for about 3 minutes in the pan until it is no longer runny, but is still squishy in the middle.
  9. Finished.

Tips

  • Do not stir or else you will make scramble eggs instead of omelette.
  • Cooking on lower heat means that there is less margin for error.
  • Don't leave your omelette while it's cooking.

Warnings

  • Don't keep it in the pan for too long, otherwise the bottom of the omelet will burn.
  • Don't add any more than 1/4 of a teaspoon of salt.
  • Stove tops can burn you very easily, be careful.
