Make a Simple Valentine's Day Card
Need a unique Valentine's Day card, but don't want to just buy one at a store? Or want to have it be personal? Make one! Making one yourself will show your valentine that you really care. It's easy.
Steps
- Cut a {{safesubst:#invoke:convert|convert}} rectangle of colored paper. Then, cut a {{safesubst:#invoke:convert|convert}} rectangle of a contrasting color. This will make a good pocket.
- Glue the rectangles together along three edges of the smaller rectangle. Leave one {{safesubst:#invoke:convert|convert}} edge unglued. Give it time to dry.
- Write the beginning of any desired saying along the outside of the pocket. You'll finish the sentence on the shape you will make next. Glue ribbon and rhinestones or any other supplies you have to the pocket. Let it dry.
- Cut out a colored paper shape that illustrates the saying. Make sure it's small enough to fit inside the small pocket. Decorate your shape with different pieces of colored paper. Glue and let dry.
- Write the rest of your saying on your shape. Don't forget to finish with "Happy Valentine's Day!" on the back of it.
