Make a Tomato Sandwich

Here's how to make a delicious tomato sandwich!

  • 1 Tomato
  • 2 slices of white/whole wheat bread
  • 1 tablespoon mayonnaise
  • 1 teaspoon salt (optional)

  1. Get a ripe tomato.
  2. Get your favorite mayonnaise.
  3. Take out two slices of your favorite bread (wheat or white works best, though).
  4. Slice the tomato (you can leave the skin on) into 1/4-inch thick slices.
  5. Set tomato slices aside.
  6. Put a spoonful of mayonnaise on each piece of bread.
  7. Salt each slice of bread as desired (salt brings out the tomato's great flavor even more).
  8. Place 3-4 slices of tomato on the side of one piece of bread onto of the mayonnaise you spread on earlier.
  9. Add the other piece of bread on top, mayonnaise side down.
  10. Grab a napkin, and enjoy the juicy, delicious tomato sandwich!

  • Pepper is another common ingredient.
  • Lettuce will add a wonderful crunch.
  • Sliced chicken breasts add a wonderful touch!
  • If you like, try using hummus instead of mayonnaise for an interesting new flavor.
  • Make sure you use mayonnaise and not salad dressing that comes in a container and looks like mayonnaise, unless you're very partial to salad dressing!

  • Cut out bad places of the tomato beforehand, and also cut off the top where the stem was and discard.
