Here's how to make a delicious tomato sandwich!
Ingredients
- 1 Tomato
- 2 slices of white/whole wheat bread
- 1 tablespoon mayonnaise
- 1 teaspoon salt (optional)
Steps
- Get a ripe tomato.
- Get your favorite mayonnaise.
- Take out two slices of your favorite bread (wheat or white works best, though).
- Slice the tomato (you can leave the skin on) into 1/4-inch thick slices.
- Set tomato slices aside.
- Put a spoonful of mayonnaise on each piece of bread.
- Salt each slice of bread as desired (salt brings out the tomato's great flavor even more).
- Place 3-4 slices of tomato on the side of one piece of bread onto of the mayonnaise you spread on earlier.
- Add the other piece of bread on top, mayonnaise side down.
- Grab a napkin, and enjoy the juicy, delicious tomato sandwich!
Tips
- Pepper is another common ingredient.
- Lettuce will add a wonderful crunch.
- Sliced chicken breasts add a wonderful touch!
- If you like, try using hummus instead of mayonnaise for an interesting new flavor.
- Make sure you use mayonnaise and not salad dressing that comes in a container and looks like mayonnaise, unless you're very partial to salad dressing!
Warnings
- Cut out bad places of the tomato beforehand, and also cut off the top where the stem was and discard.
