Merchant Using a Price Manipulation in RuneScape

RuneScape merchanting is by far the easiest, most efficient, and best way to make huge profit in a short period of time. This guide will go over the basics of merchanting and how to make huge profits really easily.

Steps

  1. Join a merchanting clan.
  2. Ask people in the clan what to merchant. People there will tell you a good item to merchant. Usually the title itself of the clan will tell you what to merchant.
  3. Buy large quantities of the designated item. This is called "buying out" an item. Everyone in the clan will be doing this. Therefore, the price will go up a lot. Maybe even 100% if your lucky.
  4. Watch the Grand Exchange graph carefully (can be found on the RuneScape website), and sell before the item is dumped and the price goes down! You should usually sell a little below the medium price on the grand exchange.

Tips

  • Ask for help if you do not know what to merchant. Do not blindly follow the trend.
  • Look at previous price rises for advice on what to invest in: for example, almost every old Holiday event item is worth millions now, and it started cheap, if not free! That said, for some things, you will need to wait until the item becomes tradable. (New holiday items will never be tradable)
  • BE patient! To be a good merchant you have to be patient. Just because something doesn't buy or sell right away does not mean that it will not sell or buy eventually.
  • It is good to invest your money in different items.

Warnings

  • Do not always just follow the words of one or two people. However, you can always buy items that everyone is talking about or what the clan recommends itself.
  • Be aware that people may start trying to crash Merchanting Clans as people are getting angry and starting to rant to JaGeX on the Official RuneScape Forums.
  • MAKE SURE YOU SELL THE ITEM BEFORE EVERYONE ELSE DOES! During the "Dump" stage, everybody sells off the item, making it near impossible to sell your items. And since the "supply" goes up, the price drops drastically! If you're too late to sell off the item, you'll be left with an item you bought at 700 gp and is now 300 gp. Sell at least two days prior to when the merchanting clan "dumps". Even selling a day before is risky, as the clan owners will have gotten their personal gain by selling off their stuff the day before telling the whole clan to.
