Mix a Pomegranate Margarita
A pomegranate margarita is a slight variation of the classic tequila sunrise cocktail. This delicious aperitif can be made with either silver or gold tequila.
Ingredients
Servings: 2
- 2 oz. (60 ml) pomegranate juice
- 4 oz. (120 ml) Tequila
- 1 oz. (30 ml) triple sec
- 2 oz. (60 ml) lime juice
- 12 oz. ice cubes
- Margarita salt, optional
Steps
- Combine the ice cubes, juice, tequila, triple sec and lime juice in a blender.
- Put the lid on the blender securely.
- Pulse the ingredients until they become frothy.
- Run a lime wedge around the rim of each glass.
- Invert the glasses, one at a time, and press the rims into a saucer filled with margarita salt.
- Turn the glasses upright and pour the cocktail into each one, being careful not to disturb the salt around the rims.
- Done. It's now ready to serve.
Tips
- Margarita salt is ideal, but course table salt will work almost as well.
- If your cocktail is a bit too tart, you can add a pinch of sugar to adjust the taste.
- You can drop a few fresh pomegranate seeds in the bottom of each glass before pouring in the cocktail.
Warnings
- Always drink responsibly.
