Make a Frozen Mango Margarita

The tangy taste of mango in a slushy margarita will light up any party!

Ingredients

  • 1 shot (45 mL) of tequila
  • 1/2 shot (22.5 mL) of triple sec
  • 1 mango
  • few drops of simple syrup
  • 1 tablespoon (11.25 mL) of lemon juice
  • 2 handfuls or a cup of ice cubes

Steps

  1. Cut the mango into slices and puree the pieces in a blender or food processor with a few drops of simple syrup.
  2. Blend the tequila, triple sec, mango puree, lemon juice, and ice cubes together.
  3. Blend until everything is smooth and the ice cubes are all blended within the drink. You will know when you don't hear the ice crushing.
  4. Pour the margarita mixture into individual glasses.
  5. Garnish the cups with your favorite tropical fruit, for example pineapples.
  6. Serve and enjoy.

Tips

  • Simple syrup is a mixture of sugar and water which is used in many cocktails. Use 1 part sugar to 1 part water to make "bar" simple syrup or 2 parts sugar to 1 part water to make "rich" simple syrup.

Things You'll Need

  • Blender
  • Food processor (if you want to do the puree on the side)
  • Cutting board
  • Knife
  • Cocktail glasses
