Plan a Special Valentine's Day Date
Valentine's day is a time to show your loved one how special they are to you. This article considers how to plan a special dinner out with your Valentine's Day date.
Steps
- Try to be creative with your date. It is important that you take her somewhere that is really special, somewhere that she will remember for a long time. This means not going to the usual spots, no matter how much they have become your "comfort zone". Consider instead:
- A night at the zoo; some zoos throw Valentine's specials
- A dinner on a mountain or high hill - in a quality restaurant, or bring-your-own gourmet picnic
- On the beach but away from the crowds - somewhere very romantic instead
- A resort
- An exclusive club or restaurant that normally neither of you would consider splurging on
- Write a poem for your date. Make it personal and unique. Your date will appreciate the effort even if it's not up there with Wordsworth. What counts is the expression of your feelings and love for her.
- Hand make the Valentine's Day card. Nothing will make your girlfriend's heart melt more than a handmade Valentine's Day card. Insert your special poem into it for her to read. Consider adding a photo of the two of you together as a means of decorating the card.
- Buy a special present for your date. This part will take some thought, and so it should. Suitable items include a piece of jewelry with her birthstone, a specially crafted piece of jewelry, an electronic gadget she's been wanting for a long time, a special book, some music written and performed by you, something you've made yourself, etc. It doesn't have to be expensive; it just has to be considerate and mindful. It needs to convey your time, thought, and care in choosing and/or making it.
