Steps
- Cut two pieces of fabric and a piece of interfacing into matching rectangles of your desired size. Cut one end of the rectangle into a point - this will become the flap of the purse.
- Pin the interfacing to the wrong side of one of the pieces of fabric.
- With right sides together, stitch the side seams and flap, leaving a half-inch seam allowance. Leave the short side of the rectangle as an opening.
- Turn the purse right side out and iron it flat.
- Tuck a half-inch of fabric into the opening and stitch it together by hand.
- Fold the rectangle to create a pocket.
- Stitch the sides of the pocket together by hand.
- Place a buttonhole towards the point of the flap.
- Align the flap over the pocket.
- Sew a Collect Antique Buttons onto the pocket beneath the buttonhole.
- Finished.

- Recycle your favorite fabric. Quilt or embroider fabric.
- Attach a long length of ribbon, to either side of the upper pocket, as a shoulder strap.
- Add on rhinestones and sequins on the flap for a more girly look.
- Attach a small loop of ribbon, to one side of the upper pocket, as a finger or wrist strap.
