Spawn a Zombie Horse in Minecraft

Zombie and skeleton horses don't usually spawn in Minecraft (not to burst anyone's bubble). But, you can still ride and tame one! (This only works in 1.7). [You will also be told how to make spawners of them!]

Steps

  1. Type in /summon. This is a new command added in 1.7 that can spawn anything if used correctly, including Ender Dragons, Ender Crystals, Wither Skulls and even Giants.
  2. Type Entity Horse ~ ~ ~. This will spawn the mob at your exact location.
  3. Type {Type:3, Tame:1}. This will make the horse a zombie horse and it will already be tamed. might not work
  4. Hit Enter. The zombie horse should spawn! You can put on a saddle, not horse armor. Be sure you typed this: /summon EntityHorse ~ ~ ~ {Type:3, Tame:1} (If you want a Skeleton horse type the same thing, just change the 3 to a 4.)

Tips

  • Remember they can still take damage, and zombies drop rotting flesh and that skeletons drop bones.
  • You can't put armor on zombie or skeleton horses.
  • For a mob spawner: /setblock ~ ~ ~ mob_spawner 0 replace {id:EntityHorse, SpawnData: {Type:3, Tame:1}}

Warnings

  • Attempting to make a Skeleton Horse spawner has been known to corrupt world data.
