Add Keyless Entry to Toyota Yaris L 2016 2017 2018 2019

So the first thing to note, is that it is a job that any person with some car/computer knowledge can do. You just need the correct parts, a few tools, and a clear step by step guide on how to replace the TIRE PRESSURE WARNING ECU AND RECEIVER on your YARIS L for the one of a YARIS XL or better.

Steps

  1. You will have to remove the back seat and back, left floor and side panels to get to the receiver.
  2. Removal Procedure.
  3. Remove Deck Board Assembly
  4. Remove Spare Wheel Cover (W/ Cover)
  5. Remove Rear Seat Assembly (For 60/40 Split Seat Type Left Side)
  6. Remove Left Rear Door Scuff Plate
  7. Separate Left Rear Door Opening Trim Weatherstrip
  8. Remove Left Rear Floor Finish Plate
  9. Separate Left Rear Seat 3 Point Type Outer Belt Assembly
  10. Remove No. 1 Luggage Compartment Light Assembly
  11. Remove Left Deck Trim Side Panel Assembly
  12. Remove Left Roof Side Inner Garnish
  13. Remove Tire Pressure Warning Ecu And Receiver
  14. Replace the Receiver with the new one.
  15. Install all parts removed in reverse order.
  16. Using Techstream Register the Remote and TPMS sensors.Or Take it to a tire shop or the dealer for they to do it, its a cheap job, don't let them fool you, discount tire did it for me for free.
  17. You are done.

  • 897A0-52010 - Tire Pressure Monitoring System Receiver - Toyota(You can buy these parts on Ebay or a Toyota Dealer)
  • Toyota Yaris Remote Head Key Fob 3B FCC# HYQ12BBY H Chip
  • Screw driver (Get these tools)
  • Socket Wrench
  • Optional: Techstream and miniVCI cable to program remote and TPMS sensors.
