T Conn a Trailer With a Mobilesco Handheld

This article will give you step-by-step instruction on how to T-conn a loaded trailer, using your Motorola mobile handheld device.

Steps

  1. From the main menu enter your door number and click your green check mark
  2. Press door setup
  3. Enter your trailer number (i.e. 123-4567) and change status to LDDK in the new status block
  4. Collect your BOLs (bill of ladings)for that door number
  5. Beginning scanning each BOL onto the trailer
  6. Mark the box (Mark as Head Load) if you have any freight that weights more than 5000lbs or takes up more than 50% of trailer space.
  7. After all BOL's are scanned onto the trailer. select the tab at the bottom of the screen labeled (Trailer/Door)
  8. Assuming all BOL's are scanned on all Head Load are marked if any. selected the (Close Trailer)button on the top of the screen.
  9. NOTE: If any shipments remain for this door the list pro screen will appear. If you are planning to load an addition trailer just click the green arrow at the bottom right hand corner to bypass. If not locate shipment and start at step 5 of this process.
  10. If no shipments remain for the door the (Close- Load Information) screen will appear here you enter the following information
    • (Load Dest) (i.e. the service where the shipments are going to direct or the next FAC for processing) Note: If all shipment are load to plan the box will be pre-populated for you.
    • (Decks) how many Load tables are in the trailer if any
    • (Cube) the total space used in the trailer (i.e. 95%)
    • (Remarks) this section is pre-populated with destination and any Head loads. For next service center FYI
    • (Seal Number) the number imprinted on your locking device of your choice. (i.e. metal or bolt seal)
  11. Once all the above info is enter correctly check the green arrow to confirm trailer is closed
  12. Select the printing device to send and your load is now properly closed

Tips

  • If any issues arise the handheld unit will give you prompts to errors it is encountering. follow the suggestions to continue your ask your supervisor.

Warnings

  • Any overrides must be performed using the supervisors badge unless you have superior privileges
