Use Matbus Services in the Fargo Moorehead Area
Have you ever traveled to Fargo/West Fargo in North Dakota or Moorhead Minnesota? If you have, you may have noticed that they use Matbus to get from one place to another. For whoever doesn't know what Matbus is: Matbus is a city bus that has fixed routes, and takes people from place to place. However, Matbus doesn't give free rides to everyone; there are fares people have to pay in order to ride.
Steps
- Look for bus stops near you location, and go to that bus stop and wait for a bus to come and pick you up. this means that you need to look on maps or on matbus.com and find out where to wait. When you find a bus stop, you have to quickly go to that area, because they have scheduled times to stop at certain places. it is recommended to look at the Matbus time tables either on their website, on their smartphone app, or in places like West Acres mall or the GMC where they have bus shelters.
- Wait for them to stop, and allow people to get off the bus. When the bus stops, there may be people who are getting off the bus. Make sure you stand a safe distance away so that people who are getting off the bus can get off safely. If someone is in a wheelchair, make sure you stand at a safe distance for them to get off the bus safely as well. Safety is the main thing to keep in mind.
- Enter the bus and pay your bus fare before you sit down. When you enter the bus, there is a machine where you have to insert your bus fare or transfer (if you are transferring to that bus) and then you sit down. If you need to transfer to a different bus, make sure you ask for a transfer. When you ask a transfer, you ask "May i get a transfer please?" and they will give you a transfer card that you will have to use when boarding the next bus.
- Sit down and pay attention. When you sit down, make sure you sit somewhere you can see your stop coming up. They will announce it, but still keep a lookout for where you want them to stop. If you are listening to music, make sure to have one earbud in your ear and one out. You have to wear earbuds because you don't want to disturb anyone. Make sure you be quiet on the bus so that everyone can hear their stop coming up.
- When your stop has been announced, pull the yellow cord that is on the window. If you are in a wheelchair, there is a cord at the bottom too. Wait for the bus to stop before you stand up and exit. If people are ahead of you, be sure to let them exit first so that all of you can exit safely.

- Make sure you have one earphone in so you can hear your stop.
- If you things with you, be sure to keep them out of the walking isles.
- check their website for maps and time tables. if you are planning to use Matbus, try to plan your trip before it actually happens.

- Don't fall asleep, because you may miss your stop.
- If you want to sit in the back, watch your step because the back has steps
- If your destination is on the other side of the street, be careful and wait for the bus to leave before you cross the street
