Add Events to the iPad Calendar App

With so many events to keep track of, it is easy to let things slip through the cracks. Adding an event to your iPad’s Calendar app is a simple process and can help you stay organized. With a number of options available for your event, you can quickly store important dates and you can even set your iPad to remind you when an event is about to start.

Steps

  1. Tap the Calendar app icon on your iPad’s Home screen.
  2. Tap the ‘’Month’’ button at the top of the Calendar interface. Now select the month in which the event you want to add occurs from the list at the bottom of the screen.
  3. Tap and hold on the day on which the event you want to add occurs until a ‘’New Event’’ bubble appears.
  4. When you take your finger away from the screen the Add Event interface appears. Type a title and Location into the top two fields using the on screen keyboard. Now tap the ‘’Starts Ends’’ field.

For Appointments and Events

  1. Tap the toggle on the ‘’All-day’’ field to set it to off.
  2. Slide a finger up or down the wheels that appear at the bottom of the interface to set the start time of the event. Now tap the ‘’Ends’’ field. Slide a finger up or down the wheels at the bottom of the interface to set the end time of the event.

Set the Correct Time Zone

  1. Tap the ‘’Time Zone’’ field.
  2. Type the time zone in which the event will be held into the search field and tap the correct result from the list that appears below.
  3. Tap the ‘’Done’’ button.

For Repeating Events

  1. Tap the Repeat field.
  2. Select how often you would like the event to be repeated on your calendar, if at all. Now tap the ‘’Done’’ button.
  3. Tap the ‘’End Repeat’’ field.
  4. Slide a finger up or down the wheels at the bottom of the interface to set when to stop repeating the event on your Calendar or, alternatively, tap the ‘’Repeat Forever’’ button. Now tap the ‘’Done’’ Button.<

Set Alerts

  1. Tap the ‘’Alert’’ button.
  2. Tap when you would like to be alerted to your event, if at all. Now tap the ‘’Done’’ button.

Link to the Appropriate Calendar

  1. Tap the ‘’Calendar’’ field.
  2. Tap which of your Calendars (if you have more than one on your iPad) you would like to add the event to. Now click the ‘’Done’’ button.

Add Extra Notes

  1. If you want to add a URL or any additional notes to your event, tap the relevant fields at the bottom of the ‘’Add Event’’ interface and type them using the on screen keyboard.
  2. Now tap the ‘’Done’’ button.



Tips

  • To delete an event you have added to the Calendar app, tap its title and then tap the ‘’Edit’’ button on the floating pane that appears. Now tap the ‘’Delete Event’’ button at the bottom of the Edit interface.
