Here are some methods you can choose:
The Subtle, Casual Method
- Start a conversation with your crush five minutes before your class is about to end. Talk about something he likes - TV shows, movies, sports, his hobbies, etc. Make sure to be calm and casual, yet still appear interested.
- A minute or so before the bell rings, look at the clock and say, "Oh man, class is almost over! Here, give me your number and I'll call you later." Don't be frantic and crazy when you say this. Remain serene as if you do this all the time.
- If he refuses, just casually shake it off and say, "Oh, okay. We can just talk in person tomorrow!" Don't let it get to you if he says no. Some guys just aren't comfortable with that. However, if he says no, wait a while before you try asking again... Otherwise, he'll catch on.
- If he says yes and gives it to you, then don't go crazy right there. Just say thanks and smile for now. You can get excited later!
The Flat-Out Method
(this should only be used if you are already pretty good friends or if you are a bold person)
- Go up to your crush and just ask him for his number, saying something like, "Hey, I was going through my contacts last night, and I realized that I don't have your number!" or, "Oh my gosh, I totally need your number!"
Sneaky Method
If you are friends this works better but when your crush has his phone out ask to see it,if he hands it over put your contact in. Its cute to act like you aren't sure how to (but if he has a really simple phone don't. This works well with Blackberrys, Androids or iPhones) after words say "Hey I put in my number what's yours?" hand over your phone to let him put in his number
- Once again, if he says no, just shake it off and keep going. If he says yes, wait until he's gone to get excited.
Be Funny or Creative
The first one only works if you are friends. The second one will most likely only work if you go to class and have a class or two with him.
- Go up to him and say: "I don't want to use a cheap line, like 'I lost my phone, can I borrow yours?' So can you just give me your number so I don't have to use that old line."
- Or...! Fold a tiny piece of paper, write your name, something sweet (like have fun!), and number on it, and then stick it in a pen cap. If you go to school with your crush and they ask for a pen, it will be there. If they don't find the paper and try to give the pen back at the end of class, just say something like, Keep it; look at it closely! If they like you back, they should text/call you afterwards. Voila, you are the owner of his number, and he is the owner of yours. Just don't text/call him too often unless he does it to you first. No one likes neediness.
Tips
- Get to know your crush a little bit before you ask him for his number. Just asking him could freak him out a little bit.
- Be confident and act completely normal.
- Be confident! Even if he says no, don't let it get to you! It doesn't always mean that he doesn't like you.
- You can also ask a friend of his for the number. When you are asking his friend, come up with an alibi, such as you need the number for homework.You should also say that you need the homework when you text/call him. Its an easy way to start a conversation. Once he/she gives you it, don't just say thanks. Ask what's up?. After all, they are your crush, right? Shouldn't you keep the conversation going?
- Never tell your crush you like them on a text.
- You can also have a friend give your phone number to him and wait for him to call/text you.
- You can ask your friend for your crushes number. Be careful though, some friends might be gossipers!
- You can also say, 'Hey, I've heard you are (one of) the best in the class for (insert subject name here), and I have trouble doing it, so can I please have your phone number to call/text you when I need help.' Just make sure that what you say is true, or that you at least do ask for help!
- Ask for their number saying that you need help with something for school. If they ask what you needed help with, just casually shrug it off and say you understand it now and then ask "So what's up?" This will seem believable and they won't suspect anything but a person trying to be friendly and converse.
- Keep your emotions inside of you, don't release them or he will be freaked out! Be calm and steady when asking.
- Don't ask your friends to get his number. He might think that your friend has a crush on him. Then, your crush and your friend might end up being together.
