Be Good at Club Penguin

Club Penguin can be a rewarding and fun game for kids around the world to play. It is a virtual game, especially suitable for kids around ages six to ten. There are lots of games that each penguin can play to win virtual coins, which are then used to purchase penguin clothes, furniture, etc. Here are some tips for helping you to play it.

Steps

Decking Out Your Penguin and Its Home

  1. Buy clothes for your penguin. You don't have to look like Madonna to be a good penguin, but don't wear nothing. All you need is a t-shirt, shoes and a hat/hair and you will look like an everyday penguin. Or, you can go a little more exciting and choose clothes such as the electric guitar, tie, suede coat, etc.
    • Wear what you like and make a statement your way. If you feel pressured, ignore it. You're there to have fun, not provide others with fashion entertainment.
  2. Design your igloo. Make your igloo a nice place to be. All you need is a few pieces of furniture, there's no need to buy over-the-top stuff. While it can be fun to make your igloo an airplane or cinema, an everyday igloo will do just fine.
    • You can get different style and sizes of igloo to fit all your furniture in. So, it might help to know what furniture you'd want included in the igloo too.
  3. Buy furniture, toys, and different things to enhance your house. Turn it into a home with the addition of your favorite items. Once again, these don't need to be expensive, unless that's what you want. Anything added in there will make it "your" place because you chose it and arranged it your way.
  4. Update your background as often as you like. You can use new ones from the most recent party or catalog.

Playing the Game to Have Fun

  1. Play the games in Club Penguin. Focus on one game at a time. If it has levels, try to get to the top level and get as many coins as you can.
    • Good games for earning coins include: Cart Surfer, Aqua Grabber and Puffle Roundup.
    • Play Thin Ice, Bean Counters or Rock at Astro Barrier on Club Penguin. Which one you play depends on which one you are skilled at.
    • Play Puffle round-up. It gives you about 100 coins every level (if you are skilled enough).
  2. Adopt a puffle, a term for Club Penguin's pets. Every penguin tends to have a puffle, so try adopting one of your own. Getting many puffles has its rewards, but do not get too many. If you get too many, keeping them happy will be costly and can reduce your fun.
    • If you are a non-member you can only get blue or red puffles, but that is still cool. Even members buy blue or red puffles.
    • Every puffle has different needs so keep that in mind when choosing one. Do some reading up on each puffle first.

Getting Stuff

  1. Enter the contests the newspaper provides details about. The newspaper has a lot of contests advertised. If you win them, your name will be published and you might get some goodies for your igloo or to wear.
    • Read the newspaper a lot. It will help you to get around. Not only that, it will also provide lots of useful and interesting content, such as cheats, jokes, comics, riddles, and upcoming events.
  2. Collect the free item when there's a party. This means an official party held all over Club Penguin, not an igloo party. Hang on to the item because it could become rare later on!
  3. Collect pins. Whenever a Find Hidden Pins on Club Penguin comes out, always get it, because its free!
    • Wear the pins, it's what they're for. Mix it up and change them regularly for more fun. Old pins, new pins, in-between pins, they're all fun.
  4. Try to collect stamps by playing games and doing activities around the island. If you are a member, you can customize your stamp book to make it look super-cool. Try to earn a few stamps a day and you will soon be filling the pages up.

Having Fun with Other Penguins

  1. Talk to other penguins. This will make the game a lot more fun because you can exchange ideas, friendly comments and suggest fun activities to try on Club Penguin. Be nice to everyone you meet, some of those other penguins are likely to become your friends.
    • You can start off by saying: Hi. My name is ....... Wanna be friends? Then ask them a question like What are your hobbies? or Wanna come to my igloo?. Have fun making new friends.
    • Don't just click on a player's card and ask to be buddies just because they look cool or cute. Sometimes players will be happy if people do this, but it gets kind of annoying after a while. Say "Hi" first and then ask.
  2. Invite other penguins to your igloo. You might even like to throw a party to encourage the other penguins to come. Go to their parties too, spread the fun around.
    • Parties are a good way to get more friends. If you are a member, open your igloo and advertise your party (say, "Party at my igloo!") in the town! Lots of penguins will come to your igloo!
  3. Accept people who ask you to be a buddy after checking them out. If that penguin seems to be the sort of penguin you'd like to spend time with, that is great.
    • Take advantage of that limitless buddy card to have as many buddies as you like. But if you only want a few buddies, that's okay too.
  4. Find new friends if you want more. Go around on popular servers such as Blizzard, Abominable, Alpine, Yukon or Mammoth.
  5. Make an effort to have fun. If you're not feeling friendly or like having fun, do something else until you feel more sociable. Don't be that one stuck up penguin who doesn't like having fun.

Tips

  • Get lots of coins before becoming a member so you can spend more time having fun and less time getting coins.
  • Try to be a pookie sometimes and sometimes be a mom(mumu), dad(dudu) or maybe even a babysitter/nanny.
  • Be friendly and courteous to other penguins. Some of them may become your new good friends.
  • Love stuff is frowned upon in on Club Penguin, like picking someone in a nice outfit and making a love sign at them. Avoid doing that.
  • Have a YouTube, make videos, sites. This is optional, but it may increase your enjoyment of the site, and allows you to share your ideas with everyone.
  • Avoid busy servers on Club Penguin until you are a bit older and have more experience. If you go there before you're ready, you might find them overwhelming and maybe even a little scary.
  • Become a tour guide or EPF agent because you get to help other penguins, get different items, and you will get 250 coins every month for doing it. But really you just wear what you wear and get 250 coins a month!
  • Try not to be mean to others or they will report you. Also, if you are mean, others will be discouraged to play and Club Penguin is a respectful community, just like wikiHow.

Warnings

  • Make sure you want to be a member before you pay all of that money.
  • Be careful not to get yourself banned, as swearing, being mean, cheating or using inappropriate language is against the rules.
  • Don't tell anyone your password.
  • Always take care of your puffles! Take them to the Puffle Hotel, buy them different types of food, all their favourite toys and different hats too! If you don't take good care of them, they might run away!
  • Before paying for Club Penguin membership play it for a long time to make sure you don't get bored.
  • If you want to be good, don't hack. Hacking is for people who cannot be bothered to try. Where's the sense of achievement in that?
  • Don't poke fun at other penguins. What goes around comes around––how would you feel if that were you on receiving end?
  • If you take a tour, don't be mean the group and/or other penguins end up reporting you.
