Be a Pretty, Nice, and Perfect Preteen

Being a pretty, nice, Be the Perfect Preteen is easier than it sounds! Follow these steps and you will be perfect in no time!

Steps

  1. Wear Subtle Makeup and only on appropriate occasions. As a preteen, wearing large amounts of makeup can look tacky, so remember that less is more. A little lip gloss in a soft color and maybe a little swipe of mascara once in a while is generally all you need. But only wear it if your parents are okay with it!
  2. Drink at least 8-10 glasses of water a day! It will make your skin nice, smooth, and rich.
  3. Use suitable lotions and washes to remove acne.
  4. Shower 4-5 days a week at a minimum. Wash your face everyday to keep acne away, and to keep your face clean.
  5. Wear cute clothing that isn't too revealing. You can shop at stores like Ralph Lauren, Tilly's, and Abercrombie and Fitch. If you cannot afford these however, shop at stores like Forever 21, Wet Seal, and Charlotte Russe. If you are too young for those, go to places like JCPenny, or Kohls, or Target. Even Justice will do.
  6. Be nice. Be a Great Preteen is not just about being pretty and Become Fashionable, but having respect for others and yourself. You must have good values in life to even try to attempt all of this. No calling names, cursing or saying anything rude. Even if someone is mean to you, they might become nicer someday, and they will be happy that you were always nice to them. You don't have to like everyone, just be polite and respect them.
  7. Try to get good grades, even if it means staying after school for extra help or assigning yourself extra homework.
  8. Always listen to your parents. Being "sassy" is not cool, it just makes you look like a brat.
  9. Go with your friends and just have a blast, if no one asks you out to the school dance. And who knows, a boy might see you and ask you to dance with him!
  10. Be original. When you Start Middle School, you will see a bunch of kids who seem to act similar, dress similar, like similar things, and be clique-ish. Don't try to fit into one of their stereotypes, it makes you boring, un-original, and like a "poser."
    • Don't forget who you are! Everybody is different and nobody is the same. Wearing the same clothes or being an identical twin doesn't mean you're just like the person you look like. You're all different, and be happy with who you are.

Tips

  • Always be yourself! Nobody can be you better than yourself.
  • No matter how perfect you are, there will always be people you won't be able to get along with. Whether they find your overly sugary ways nauseating or simply think that you're fake, they will be out there. Do you think you can deal with this? Answer this question honestly, before proceeding.
  • Be nice but don't let people walk all over you. Don't be mean but don't be too nice.
  • Always behave politely in front of adults. Adults have the power of money and authority, so if you are nice to them, they will probably return the favor!
  • Just be yourself and take care of yourself.
  • At school, look for the "popular" people and how they dress, react, and how pretty they are. Also be super nice, but not too nice. Being popular is the key!
  • Just to point out that if your 'friends' don't like you because of what your wearing and turn their backs on you, then they're not your true friends; however, it's ok to have an opinion but ignoring you and treating you meanly is not ok. Just ignore them. Don't be someone you're not.
  • Be polite at all times, but speak up for you and others. Being pretty doesn't mean to be a doormat, stand up when needed.
