Comment on a Photo on Facebook
Commenting on photos that your friends and family members post to Facebook can be a fun way to connect and socialize about photos and experiences. After you comment on a photo, every Facebook user with access to that photo can read your comment. In addition to commenting on photos, you can "like" photos, which indicates your specific interest or personal approval for particular photos. Steps
Comment on a Facebook Photo
- Go to one of the "Facebook" website links provided to you within the Sources section of this article.
- Click on the "Back to Facebook" link, which is displayed in the upper-right corner. This action will take you to the Facebook login page.
- Type the email address and password for your Facebook account into the blank fields displayed in the top-right corner of the login page.
- Navigate to the photo you want to comment on from within Facebook. You can comment on a friend's photo, your own photo, or any other photo on Facebook, given that the user has enabled the comment feature.
- Click on the "Comment" link located below the photo you want to comment on. A blank comment field will open and prompt you to enter a comment.
- If there is no "Comment" link below a photo, click directly on the photo itself. A full-sized view of the photo will display on your screen and provide you with the option to comment.
- Enter your comment into the blank field that reads, "Write a comment."
- Press the "Enter" key on your keyboard to publish the comment. Your comment will now be viewed by any Facebook user who has the ability to view the photo.
Delete a Photo Comment
- Navigate to the photo that contains the comment you have decided to delete.
- Point to the upper-right corner of the box that displays your comment. A small "pencil" icon labeled with "edit or delete" will display.
- Click on the "delete" to delete your comment. A pop-up window will display asking you to confirm your decision to delete the comment.
- Press the "Delete" button that displays in the pop-up window. Your comment will then be removed from that particular Facebook photo indefinitely.
Like or Unlike a Facebook Photo
- Navigate to any Facebook photo that you want to "like" or "unlike." Liking a photo will indicate that you favor that particular photo, and will give other Facebook users the option to connect with you based on your interest.
- Click on the link labeled "Like" or "Unlike" located below the Facebook photo. If you press "Unlike," the photo will no longer display in your personal profile as an interest.
- An alternative way to "like" a photo is to click on the photo to see a full-sized view, then press the "L" button on your keyboard. This action will also "unlike" a photo, if you had previously "liked" it.
Tips
- To view comments and "likes" made on photos by other Facebook users, click directly on the photo to display the full-sized view in your browser. All comments and "likes" by other Facebook users will then display in a sidebar located to the right of the photo.
