From Your iPod Touch
- Make sure you're connected to the Internet. To do this go to Settings > Wi-Fi > and select your network. If the network is password-protected enter your password at the prompt. If you don't have a network or there isn't an unprotected one nearby, you can buy an inexpensive Wi-Fi router to hook up to your modem.
- Launch the App Store. Look for the light blue icon with a white A in it, or search for "App Store" in the search bar that appears when you swipe to the right.
- Search for the app you want to download, or browse the featured apps or categories.
- Click on an app that looks interesting. You will be able to read more about the app, view screenshots, and read ratings.
- If you would like to download the app, tap the blue button with the small plus sign in the top corner. It will either say the price or say "Free."
- The button will turn green and read "Install App". Tap it again.
- Enter your password. You will be prompted for your password whether or not the app is free.
- Wait for your app to download. This may take some time. An icon should appear

Warnings
- Putting too many apps on one ipod touch will make it run slow and crash
- If you have an 8gb iPod Touch there is a high probability you will run out of room for apps. To see and/or get rid of the largest-memory apps, open iTunes, click on "apps," click on "list view" on a section at the top, and then sort them by size by clicking on size on the top bar. This will order them by size, and you may delete them as you wish.
- Some apps can cause your iPod to crash. If your iPod crashes just turn off your iPod by holding the top button. Once it's on delete the app.
- If you use iTunes through your parents email, they can see what you download
